Saraswati

Here's my next Goddess I'm working on: Saraswati, who is a Hindu Goddess of knowledge and arts which will constrast well with the TV goddess I've done already. I'm trying out a different pallette that is more softer like pastels. I'm hoping the final will turn out well; I'm going to include the TV Goddess in the background since I'll be having Saraswati sitting infront of a TV store display window.

EDIT: Here's another working copy I'm currently working on. The grass is still bugging the hell out of me since I haven't figure out how to do it yet. The snow is alright, but not as good as I want it to be. I'm still working on texturing the wall she's in front of, but something subtle which is just too subtle right now.

Sketch Dump 3

I can never scan watercolour/ink stuff well. The scanner always picks up too much of the paper when I do it non-hot press paper which sucks. And of course, the paper being warpped(sp) a bit doesn't help. Just some stuff I've been trying out with watercolours that sorta work like inks. With a limited pallette, it seems to be working relatively well. I think I'm going to just take photos the next time. Damn scanner or maybe just damn me.

Girl XXV

Just a quick sketch I drew while watching "Lost in Translation" which is a really good movie by the way. I want to do a more complete background for it, but I'm not sure how far I'll take it.

EDIT: Added a working colour rough. I'm really liking the flat colours without shading. I'll probably do a shaded version and see which I like better.

Fox

Well I finished four of these in one week; I could have probably done more if I wasn't so lazy, but it was productive.

More Animals Sketches

Just some more animals I've been working on. I'm going to try to do some mythological ones as well hence why I've got Cerberus (the hellhound that guards that gates of Hades) there as well. I've got a really rough idea for a wyern and a unicorn that I'll try to work on later. Oh yeah, I already did a sheep, but I wanted to do a ram since I've got a friend that likes sheeps and rams so that's for her.

Kangaroo Spot

I'm finished it for now. I'm still not too happy about the arrangement of the boomerang in the background, but I can easily change that later on. Onward, to the next illustration.

Kangaroo (with an "A") & the Shrimp

Here's the next roughs for animal spot illustrations I've been doing for fun. Well the shrimp one is a rough-rough in that I still need to re-draw it out for a final before taking it into Illustrator to work on. I'm liking how both of them are looking like but I think i'll have to take out some of the shell lines for the shrimp so it's more simple like the other ones, but I'm not sure yet.

EDIT: if only 'cause a friend of mine pointed out how I spelt kangaroo wrong. Thanks very much, Nara ... and yes, I don't know if I'm sarcastic or not.

Sheep

Just continual on the line of the cat illustration I did yesterday. I've got a rough of a kangeroo lined up that I've got to ink and then re-do in illlustrator. I need one to make it a set of four though there's not real theme in it.

Cat

I quickly re-did the cat illustration to a final in Illustrator. It was quick and simple. It's got a certain charm about it that I like. I think it took about an hour to do in Illustrator.

Sketch Dump 2

I finally got back to sketching again weekend. It sucks when school works takes up more time than I want it to. Drawing anything is good, but sometimes it's so much more fun to be able to do my own stuff without any rules or limitations/restrictions on it.

Rat Stamp

Something I quickly did for Chinese New Year sinces it's the year of the rat this year. I'm going to see if I can manage to finish the rest of them. I'm going ot take it into photoshop later on and rough up the figures more.
