More Doodles

More recent doodles. I should get back to drawing those animal characters one day. It's nice to revisit old characters after awhile 'cause there always to be so much change and (hopefully) improvement. On the viking note, I don't know why but I feel like drawing them at the moment. I should get one into a finished illustration.

I got around to inking this. I liked how he turned out with the posture and pose.

Dragon and Music

Well I finished these two though I'm still a bit unsure about the background for the musical one. I wanted to use that tan background a lot for the dragon piece, but it just didn't work. A lot of times when I work, I put down a solid or gradient background so I can get a sense of the colours I want to use. Sometimes I end up using that background to develop a colour scheme and othertimes near the end of the illustration, that background colour just doesn't work at all anymore and it takes a bit of away time to actually see it.

Almost done. I'm liking the colours. I originally had one of the suits as green, but it was too green like St. Patrick's day celebration green.

Eating an apple in the woods

I was thinking up characters for a friend's story. I wanted to do something a little bit amusing with the characters. I should really adjust the colours better with this, but I got kind of lazy for something that's sort of like a sketch/experiment.
