I got a chance to meet up with an old friend and that got me started on drawing more of the characters from Journey to the West, a famous story that forms the basis of the original Dragon Ball story. There's something soothing about returning to traditional medium as I spend more and more time working digitally. I've started to rougher paper for my inking. I honestly can't remember if it's cold press or rough press, but I know it's 140lbs Arche paper. The textured paper provides a nice bite that doesn't always pick up my ink so I can almost control it like a dry brush. I will probably try to take a photo of the finished ink drawing as I find the texture scans odd into my scanner.
