Tea

I think sometimes even I forget that I can do traditional illustration though the way I'm using pastels and pencil crayons here is quite simple. It's very light and nowhere near as complex as some of the really amazing pastel and pencil crayon illustrations out there. That all said, I still like the piece. I've had this idea around for awhile, but using the discarded armor added the finishing touch to it, I think.

People V

Just working on quick and simple illustrations for the moment. Sometimes it's nice to work on something that's finished quickly though the knight has been waiting to be finished for awhile now. I kind of liked this half rendered/half finished look that my working on screenshots have. Now to find a way to use that for a final piece of work.

Wishes

I'm not sure if I want the genie blue or green. Blue reminds me too much of Genie from Disney though it'd work better with the piece. I might switch around the background colours to fit the green more or maybe use a totally new colour scheme.

Girl Sketches

Just some sketches I've done today between watching movies and feeling awful due to my cold. It's fun to draw them and figure out how to use the hair to frame the picture. I should do some more of these with guys instead though guys really can't do that many cool things with their hair.

Black & White & Colour

I just wanted to test out something quickly. Greyscaling a drawing and then keep select bits colours to make it really stand out. I'm not sure if it worked too well in this piece. I should have made the lips a brighter red.

Violinists

This took a bit longer than I had planned 'cause I, unfortunately, got a bit lazy and sidetracked a bit working on it, but I liked how it turned out. I stuck with a simple colour scheme and in truth, there is only 3 major colours in the piece: blue, red and green (which are the 3 primary colours in lights). Well onward to the next piece. More musical fun awaits.

Music - Violins

I think this started a long time ago with a small sketch in a sketchbook somewhere. I could never figure out how to draw hands holding a violin since the position is a bit odd and hands are just hard to draw, at least to me. Stylizing it solved a lot of problems and I liked how the pose turned out. It's a "line" piece of illustration in that the lines really help make up the illustration.

Ski Break

So here's another working on illustration. I'm enjoying these "widescreen" views lately. I should get set to do a rainy scene for the upcoming spring.

Vespa

I'm almost finished this piece. I'm liking the night mood. It's fun and there's something serene about going for a ride in the night all alone regardless of wherever you're going.

Music

Both illustration is roughly the same in the scenes. The second one was a rough sketch that I liked too much to not take to a finish though it's feeling a bit bare at the moment. I've got one more illustration planned that I hopefully won't take too long with.
