I've had a black and grey Japanese brush pen for awhile now. I got it specifically to test out, but I never got around to it until today. It's funny the amount of art supplies I've got saved up from picking stuff here and there. Definitely a fun experiment and something to try again.

I had a lot of fun with this and it turned out really nice. I can almost imagine doing a set of these for different people I know though I guess a court card set of friends has been done already by a lot of people.

I've got this love and hate relationship with calligraphy pens. They're great for ink though they can be a big pain to use especially as I prefer the traditional style ones without an ink reserve so I just keep dipping in the ink well for more ink. But honestly, nothing feels the same as it.

I'm enjoying the cool palette here with the grey, mint/winter green, light cobalt blue and cream with the splash of warmth in the orange and red. It's definitely a palette I want to play with again. Anyway, this is a fun gift for a friend.

Cosplay Coworkers - finished

So I finished up with these. I think they turned out quite nice and just a little fun thing to try out some minor stuff in Illustrator and Photoshop. I always have fun with these and I can't wait until next year. I've got a cool idea in mind though in a year's time I'll probably have a better one. For those interest, it's Dr. Who and Wonder Woman (though one of the recent re-designs by Jim Lee, I believe, with the jacket and everything).

Cosplay Fun

So I wonder how many years something has to be done for it to be considered a tradition. Last year, I did caricature portraits for my co-workers at the end of our "year" and this year, I decided for something more fun. It begs the question of what I will do next year.
