Girl with Swirls

Just something I did based on an old sketch. I sorta like the feel in the sketch more, as always, but this isn't too bad. It's got is own feel to it.

Weekly and every other Daily Illustrations

Just a heads up starting later this week or the beginning of next week, since I'm finally finished school, I'm going to try to a full weekly illustration (digital-traditional hybrid) that's more concept driven as well as every other day Daily illustrations (traditional) that's more for practise and exploration. Here's hoping for some fun stuff.

Lastly, I've included a new illustration I did for my grad show promo. It's based on a set of illustrations I did for as a gift for a friend. I might post those later on.

Cat with a bottle

I should really put some watermarks or something like this due to the stupid Orphans Act (sp). Go Google it if anyone doesn't know about. Anyways, rough sketch for a personal piece.

Self Portrait

This was an assignment to do a self portrait. I guess it's pretty random that I drew a penguin riding a dragon instead though it makes sense to people that know me.

Monster Party

Project for a class. It's in a rough composition stage since I had to rework the layout so it reads better.

EDIT: Here's the other composition I was working with. I still like it better and I think I can get it to work instead of the first one which feels too photoshopped to me especially the background.

Dragon vs Knight

I'm trying out a circle composition for once and different lines. It should be fun, I hope.

Demeter

Here's the working on version of the next goddess, Demeter. It's a very horitonzal piece for once which is kinda fun to work with. It's another winter scene as well which gives me time to try out some stuff for the snow.

EDIT: I've posted the working colour roughs for the illustration. I was able to render it fairly quickly. The buildings are building me a bit ... I want to use outlines, but then the outlines feel like they're too much. I'll take it all into photoshop for the final bit of affects.
