Sketch Dump 700 ('cause I forgot what number I'm at)

I've been trying to try a lot more lately. It's something I've gotten bad at lately for a whole host of reason. One of the thing of just "free" drawing is that it's very relaxing. It's one of the reason I love to draw, there's a freedom in create and exploring different ideas and things. There's an infinite possibility with a pencil, pen and paper. I was looking at the site of Skottie Young, an amazing illustrator, and I got inspired a bit to draw another drawing of me. I love the SD/chibi portions that Skottie does, but the best part is that you can always tell it's him. I saw the variant cover of a comic and instantly, I recognized who drew it.

Cat Snowman

I was showing a friend how my artwork has changed by showing them this blog and then next thing I know, I'm just scrolling through old sketches. It's been a long time since I started this blog and honestly, my artwork has matured and evolved. There's still that bit of me before, but it's very unrefined though there are some images that just have that part of me wanting to be uncovered whether it be the technical skills or just the idea behind it. I started to re-draw this old Christmas card 'cause I always enjoyed it. It's a bit funny and silly. It's interesting to see the changes and it makes me curious where I'll be in another 8 years.

Hive 2 Playing Card series

This project has been a long time coming and been under wraps for a bit. It's finally launched for crowding last week (please check it out if you're interested: Hive 2 ). I decided to do things a bit differently this time around, but it was a lot of fun. I'm glad I can finally show off the project. I was lucky enough to get interviewed at Kardify about the deck. Dancing Stars

This is probably one of the last few illustrations I'm going to work on this year.
